Things got back on track (ish) last night with “Centennial”, with live tracking once again on tap.
Andy Hurt came by and laid down drums and percussion on Glen’s song “Saffalicis” and Brent’s “Glass Window Panes”.
Dan Marshall (former Debutante in good standing, current Red Nail, former Angry Pill, etc etc etc ad nauseum) to lay down drums on his OWN album. The Debutantes were not paid for the usage of their studio time. Dan will be receiving a strongly worded letter in short time.
However, Dan also paid at least a bit of his due by joining the Hand Clap Orchestra (generally composed of Andy Hurt, Brent and Glen) for some extra “thwaps” on “Saffalicis”.
The new stuff is coming together really well. I am particularly enthused about these two songs.
Allegedly percussion and drums were going to be laid down on Glen’s “The Kraken Phibes”, but I left early because it was 10pm and I was supposed to go to my girlfriend’s house, and I was tired.
For all I know they finished that song, and perhaps the entire album. Or maybe they just gave it all up. Who can say?
I will have pics up hopefully in the next day or so. Perhaps Glen or Danny or Andy will chime in on what happened after I left?
Also, please note that Thursday recording will be derailed due to National Batman Holiday.
