Our Future and You

Things are certainly afoot at Camp Debutante, though the blog has been relatively quiet.

Of course, as you already know, we will be taking part in the First Annual Mellwood Arts Festival this Saturday and Sunday at 12:30.  Apparently we will be playing in a tent by the concessions and children’s crafts.  So we should have ample opportunities to make unsuspecting patrons either vomit or cry, which is, of course, just how we want it.

How will the unique stylings of the Debs go down on these fine late summer days? Why don’t you show up and see for yourself? Either support our success or bear witness to the carnage. Either way it should be a fun way to kill an afternoon.

We are sad to report that due to a death in the family, Daniel Mohler will be unable to join us on drums. Our thoughts are with him and his family.

Pinker Lichvar has stepped up to the plate, agreeing to assist us on drums on both Sat and Sunday’s shows.

We had our second practice last night, and a third will hit tomorrow. That’ll be a grand total of three practices before our first show in about 9 months.  It’ll be a little loosey goosey, but honestly it’s already a lot more tight than it has any right to be.  Ask Glen, I was putting my head in the oven just yesterday morning. But suddenly I am alive with the possibility that we won’t suck!

Speaking of being alive and not sucking, we have also rediscovered the joy of performing as a duo, and as such we are looking to make a regular return to the stage.  So, if you need an opening act for your show, drop us a line.  If it’s a weekend, chances are we may be interested.  It has been many years since we regularly trod the floorboards of Louisville, and we are eager to get back out there.

So, yeah. Come to the shows, book the duo for shows, and continue to make hard drive space available for the soon-to-arrive rerelease of ‘Centennial’!
