Language is One Twin Shy of a Pair
In addition to being a busy day for Dominique, French Dog, Stroke Victim, and Queen fan, last week saw the much-trumpeted arrival of Stephanie Abbott at Su Su Studios.
As documented previously, “Twin Language” has been in production for three years or so now. But I think the wait was worth it.
Steph brought sad news of the dissolution of The Venus Trap, one of the stalwart bands of the Louisville freak rock scene. We are a lesser Ville without them, to be certain.
Still she tackled “Twin Language” with aplomb. Her part really adds a perfect new dimension to the song. It’s very soulful. The girl can sing. Sounds great.
Since she was already there, and since we are pushy, Danny cajoled her into adding some backing “oohs” to “Glorious and Victorious”.
It was a productive evening , and fun to visit with our friend as well.
We are hopeful that we will be able to get Miranda over to add the other “Twin” to our song. Seems like something big would be missing without her. As always, we will keep you up to date on any progress.
Also, enthusiastic word from Knoxville has it that honorary Debutante Johnny Quaid has finished his parts for “Every Man Alone”, as well as tackled parts for 9 or so other tunes! Now that’s pep!
