On Tuesday we had Glen carry his Kurzweil over and place it on the bed so he could then try to play “Game of the criss cross” (Not to be confused with bestselling Colecovision game “Sailing with Chris Cross”.) This, of course, was a funny joke, as we all knew that Glen no longer remembered the song and his efforts would be for naught. We rolled in the halls with laughter.
Rolled. Halls.
We attacked the Dry Erase Board of Destiny after several months of stillness. It is now lookin’ pretty spic and span. (Spic? I feel nervous typing that word.) We arranged a new “Mix/Master (Cut Faster)” list and dug in. We saved “Everything and Nothing Is Fine” until next week, since it is particularly dense.
Also, new news: next week will likely be the last two-night recording week for quite some time. Danny needs extra time to finish up his correspondance course with the art school (perfection of that turtle cartoon remains elusive, truly Danny’s great white whale) so we will be doing a one night per week deal.
However, do not doubt our diligence! We are truly in the home stretch. We think Miranda will be over next Thursday, and we need to try to finish up a couple more guest appearances, but otherwise our plates are looking increasingly clean.
And then, once it’s all finished, we can get rid of all of these demos and actually start tracking the record! Huzzah!
